Monday

  1. Strength: Liam Delany leads a strength session from 4.45-5.30pm, specifically aimed at middle to long distance runners, but also valuable for sprinters and field athletes.
  2.  Stretch: Liam leads a stretch session from 5.30-6.15pm, beneficial for all athletes. These sessions take place at the Clubrooms. Collingwood members $10 for both sessions.

Tuesday

  1. Steve and Troy are available from 5-7pm to lead sessions for all track and field events, it doesn’t matter what your age or ability is you will get looked after and have a lot of fun while you develop your fitness and skill. There is always a sprint and middle distance session for the Junior athletes at 5pm, the field event training is dependent on which events will be coached that night, the best way to know is come regularly to join in the specific sessions.  These sessions are free to everyone, it’s suggested you become a Collingwood Harriers member if you come regularly.
  2. Chris leads a Pole Vault session for beginners to experienced vaulters.
  3. Mia leads a session for hurdles, sprints and horizontal jumps from 5-6:30pm, training fees do apply, just ask Mia for more information.
  4. Liam leads a structured speed session for all ability levels from 6:30-7:30pm. This session is held at Princes Park and open to everyone, first 3 sessions are free then the cost is a Vigor membership.

Wednesday –
No scheduled training

Thursday

  1. Junior middle distance squad 5:15-6:15pm on the track with Liam, anyone aged 10-18 is welcome as well as parents, regular attendees are asked to get a Vigor membership, this includes a training program and dietary advice from the coach Liam as well as a Podiatry assessment at Vigor to ensure any biomechanical issues are picked up early.
  2. Liam then leads a senior middle-long distance speed session for all levels from 6:30-7:30pm. This is on the track or in Yarra Bend Park, the first 3 sessions are free then the cost is a Vigor membership.
  3. Chris leads a Pole Vault session for beginners to experienced vaulters.
  4. Mia leads a session for hurdles, sprints and horizontal jumps from 5-6:30pm, training fees do apply, just ask Mia for more information.

Sunday

Every Sunday there is a long easy run for all speeds and distances that leaves the Collingwood track at 8am and explores the trails all around the Yarra. Standard time is 90mins but often we have groups ranging from 1-2 hours and longer leading into the Melbourne Marathon. Regular attendees join Vigor but everyone is welcome to join in for occasional training runs.
