Rod CHENEY
Rod joined the Collingwood Harriers in 1933 at the age of 17. The accompanying picture is from a few years later at the age of 27.
Rod ran mainly in the winter seasons and has fond memories of the Club relays to various parts of Victoria.
The Club regained contact with Rod only a few years ago, when his granddaughter ,who was searching out some family history made some inquiries. Since then, Rod has been a very welcome attendee at our reunions and is very proud that he is (as far as we know) the oldest Magpie still going around. Rod will turn 97 in November 2013 and is doing real well!
