Harold LANG

Harold joined the Collingwood Harriers in 1928 and served the Club in many capacities over the years as both an athlete and an official. He was a consistent performer on the track and in cross-country events.

As proof of his worth to the Club is the appearance of his name on two honour boards in the Clubrooms.

The list of winners in the Club 5 Mile Cross-Country Championship includes the name of Harold Lang in 1930 and 1931. The list of office bearers also sees Harold’s name appear twice both as Treasurer, firstly for the period 1931-37 and then again some years later from 1942- 45.

Harold was just the second to be created a Life Member of the Club when presented with his award in 1946.
